Tiffany O'Donnell, Chief Executive Officer

Tiffany Odonnell headshot.jpgTiffany O’Donnell is the Chief Executive Officer of Iowa Women Lead Change, succeeding co-founder and CEO Diane Ramsey.

Since she joined the organization in 2015, IWLC has enjoyed growth including the acquisition of the Quad Cities Women's Connection, expansion of Women Connect (now in the Corridor, Metro Des Moines and Siouxland), the launch of the statewide public/private partnership EPIC Corporate Challenge, the creation of Invest in She, a women’s entrepreneur competition, and the addition of new programming tracks at the organization’s hallmark conferences including a Men’s track, Young Leaders high school track, Executive Women’s track and Diversity & Inclusion track.

As the organization's first Chief Operating Officer, O'Donnell was instrumental in growing IWLC's team to include Regional Managers in all IWLC markets and the addition of a dedicated Fund Development Manager.

In 2016, Ms. O’Donnell led Lead Iowa, IWLC’s first annual giving campaign for individual donors.  In its first year, the campaign engaged more than 100 statewide supporters offering a 3-year financial commitment. 

Prior to joining IWLC, Tiffany spent 25 years as a reporter and anchor at stations across the state including WQAD in the Quad Cities, WHO-TV in Des Moines and, most recently from 2001-2014 was the face and voice of CBS2/Fox 28 in Cedar Rapids, serving as an Emmy award-winning television lead anchor. She is credited with launching two successful news programs there, Fox News at 9 and Live at Five. 

A lifelong volunteer, Tiffany is a Board Member of the school-choice advocacy group Reaching Higher Iowa.  She was a charter member of the Board of Directors of the state’s only year-round market, NewBo City Market, and fulfilled a 6-year term on the Board in December 2016.   She is also an inaugural member of the Board of Directors of the Revival Theatre Company, now into heading into its fourth season in the Corridor.  Other organizations where she’s held board leadership positions include the Iowa Children’s Museum, Kids First Law Center and the Alzheimer’s Association of East Central Iowa.

In 2016, the Corridor Business Journal named Ms. O’Donnell a Woman of Influence.

Raised in Bettendorf, Tiffany holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communications and French from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana and represented her home state in the 1989 Miss America Pageant after being crowned Miss Iowa 1988.

Diane Ramsey, Co-Founder & EPIC Corporate Challenge Co-Chair

2018 Ramsey cropped.jpgDiane Ramsey, Co-founder and former Chief Executive Officer of Iowa Women Lead Change (IWLC), Iowa’s premier organization for women’s leadership is the Co-chair of the public private partnership the EPIC Corporate Challenge. Ms. Ramsey has a track record as a leader, collaborator and innovator.

Ms. Ramsey built IWLC’s organization and reputation. Under her stewardship, IWLC grew from a grassroots-driven once-a-year event to a 501(c)(3) leadership organization that hosts conferences, underwrites research and advances organizational and individual development. Its mission is to advance women’s leadership development and excellence, their organizations and impact the greater regional economy. Ms. Ramsey introduced IWLC’s CEO Forum, Student Track and Invest in She programming.

In 2010, Ms. Ramsey founded Corridor Women Connect, a non-profit organization dedicated to leading and encouraging employers to share best practices, leadership development and networking. Today there are three Women Connect IWLC affiliates across Iowa. She is a founding member of the Women’s Leadership Project, a statewide consortium that produced the She Matters: 2012 Status of Women and Girls in Iowa report and subsequent follow up initiatives.

Ms. Ramsey’s prior experience includes Rockwell Collins supporting the company’s leadership role in IWLC and as the enterprise chair for Rockwell Collins Women’s Forum employee resource group. Ms. Ramsey served 15 plus years with Alliant Energy leading economic and community development, its sales and strategic accounts business and communications and strategic affairs. At Alliant Energy and a predecessor company, Ms. Ramsey was engaged in branding and communications, regional economic and community development, merger integration, change leadership, diversity and Inclusion efforts, large customer management and public affairs. Her experience in marketing and advertising includes retail, consumer and B to B at the client and agency level – including Hy-Vee, Square D and Budget Rent a Car’s national and regional programs.

She is a trustee for the Millicent Rogers Museum in Taos, New Mexico, a founding member of Invest to Elect Women New Mexico and a national delegate for Vision 2020 (a coalition of organizations and individuals committed to achieve women’s economic and social equality).  Throughout her career, Ms. Ramsey served on statewide and community boards including The Iowa Business Council Deputies (Chair 2010), Professional Developers of Iowa, Forward Wisconsin (chair, 2009), the Four Oaks Board of Directors (2011-2012, chair), Corridor Women Connect Board of Directors (chair 2010-2012) and Theatre Cedar Rapids Boards of Directors (2003- 2005 Chair) and Trustees, St. Luke’s UnityPoint Foundation Board of Directors, Waypoint Services Boards of Directors and Trustees and the National Czech and Slovak Museum and Library.

In 2009, the Corridor Business Journal recognized Ms. Ramsey as a Woman of Influence in the Iowa City-Cedar Rapids Corridor. Waypoint recognized her as a Pillar of the Community in 2011. In 2013, the Women’s Equality Coalition of Linn County honored her as Woman of the Year.  Ramsey frequently speaks on women’s leadership and talent issues and advises organizations on creating more inclusive cultures.

Ms. Ramsey is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and she attended Business school at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Deanna Woodall, Director of Events & Quad Cities Regional Manager

DeannaDeanna Woodall is the Director of Events for IWLC.  In this role, Deanna is responsible for the oversight of IWLC's statewide conferences and events.  In addition, she remains the  Regional Manager for the Quad Cities. This position was created after the alignment of the established Women's Connection with IWLC. Deanna is responsible for all IWLC - The Women's Connection programs and events including the Athena Awards, International Author event and Seat The Table. In addition, she will manage the inaugural 2018 IWLC - The Women's Connection Women's Leadership Conference. Deanna comes to IWLC with extensive event planning and fundraising experience.  

In September 2013, Deanna founded Event Solutions Group. She has provided event planning and management, as well as assistance to non-profit organizations with their fundraising. Her clients have included some of the largest non-profit organizations in the Quad Cities. In addition to running Event Solutions Group, Deanna was also Director of Public Relations and Events for the Niabi Zoological Society. Prior to starting Event Solutions Group, Deanna worked in management and operations at two separate law firms in the Quad Cities.
 
Deanna stays very active in the Quad Cities community by serving on several boards and committees. Her past experience includes being Chair of the Advisory Council of USO of Illinois, a board member for WQPT, Quad Cities Symphony Orchestra, and Dress for Success. Recently, Deanna was appointed to the Q2030 Grant Selection Committee for the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend and she serves as co-chair of the Ambassador Committee at the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Deanna has served as Chair for several committees including (but not limited to) the annual Share The Power of a Wish Gala for the Make-A-Wish Iowa Riverbend Committee for the last five years, the annual Opening Doors Gala for Family Resources for the last four years, the annual Recycle the Runway event for Dress for Success Quad Cities for the last three years.
 
Deanna and her husband Rob have three children and live in Bettendorf.

Bobbi Segura, Des Moines Regional Manager

SeguraBobbi_200.jpgBobbi Segura lives in Des Moines and has been actively involved in the business and nonprofit community in Central Iowa and in the Siouxland area. For the more than 20 years, Bobbi was a business owner and entrepreneur in the field of marketing and business development. She founded B. Segura Consultants in 2008. She was a partner/member of Plum Communications, LLC, a collaborative group of writers, designers and marketing entrepreneurs who worked together to provide communications solutions. She was co-owner of Designgroup, Inc., an award winning graphic design firm with a long history of creating marketing materials for local, national and international clients.

Bobbi Is a graduate of the Leadership Iowa Institute and has been involved as a leadership volunteer of several national and local non-profit organizations and has gained a broad knowledge of these organizations, including Iowa Women Lead Change (IWLC), Association of Women in Communication, NAWBO Iowa, St. Catherine of Siena Foundation Board, Central Iowa Chapter of the American Red Cross board of directors, American Red Cross Midwest Service Area Resource Council, American Red Cross National Committee on Nominations, Pinky Swear advisory council, Des Moines Carousel Foundation board of directors, and is an alumni of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute.

Kelly Russell, Office Manager


Kelly Russel .JPGKelly Russell joined IWLC in June of 2017 as the Office Manager. She comes to IWLC with several years of experience working in the non-profit sector. Prior to joining IWLC Kelly worked as Office Manager for the American Heart Association supporting all eastern Iowa events. While there, she earned the affiliate’s Award of Excellence for 2016. Kelly also spent over 14 years at Coe College as the Director of Advancement Services.

Kelly has lived in Michigan and Texas and moved to Cedar Rapids in 1998. She and her husband Mark have two grown sons and two beautiful grandchildren.

 

Deb Worm, Volunteer - Outreach Coordinator

Deb Worm.jpgDeb Worm serves as IWLC's Volunteer Coordinator, a volunteer post within the organization. She works with interested volunteers to find open volunteer opportunities with IWLC that best fit their skill sets.

Deb joined F&M Bank in January 2016 as part of Human Resources/Client Relations. Previously she was the Center Director for a Distance Learning Center – The Manchester Regional Education Partnership, a partnership between Northeast Iowa Community College, Upper Iowa University and the City of Manchester. As Center Director, Deb managed the overall operations of the center, performed career counseling with students and worked with city officials, area school districts and community business leaders to develop and implement programs. Deb's goal is to become more involved in the Cedar Rapids community and meet new people!

Jane Chesshire, Accounting Manager

Jane1.jpgJane Chesshire joined IWLC in September 2017 as their part-time Accounting Manager.  Prior to IWLC, she devoted 17 years at Coe College. While at Coe, she held the Assistant Controller position prior to being promoted to Assistant Vice President & Budget Director. After leaving Coe, Jane tried her hand at retirement for a year and found she missed being part of an organization benefiting others as well as an office environment. IWLC is a perfect match; it has ignited her enthusiasm and still allows her some retirement time. 

She and her husband live in Marion and have two grown sons.

Amy Eaton, Director of Marketing & Strategic Development

Amy Eaton Headshot.pngAmy, a native of Perry, IA, is the Director of Marketing & Strategic Development at IWLC, based out of our Des Moines office. In this role, she is responsible for building a structure to create increased awareness of the IWLC brand, including developing and implementing marketing initiatives, projects and programs to grow the organization.

Amy graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Journalism & Mass Communications. She boasts 15 years of experience in marketing and media relations, along with extensive knowledge of business development and sponsor relations in Des Moines. Amy spent the past nine years as Client Experience Director at Allegra Marketing and previously worked as the Marketing Manager for the Des Moines Arts Festival and Downtown Events Group.

Amy is very active in the Des Moines community. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce, and is past chair of genYP and Young Variety.

Nicole Pratt, Marketing & Fund Development Intern

Nicole Pratt Headshot - website.pngNicole serves as the Marketing & Fund Development Intern at IWLC. 

Nicole has six years of fundraising and communications experience. Prior to joining IWLC, Nicole served as the Communications Manager at Four Oaks for three years, where she devoted her efforts to create increased brand awareness and marketing, to grow the organization.

Nicole is currently finishing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and Mass Communication as well as certificates in both Event Planning, and Fundraising & Philanthropy Communication from the University of Iowa.

Amy Boe, Marketing & Communications Intern

Amy Boe Headshot.pngAmy serves as the Marketing & Communications Intern at IWLC. In this role, she is responsible for assisting the Director of Marketing & Strategic Development with communications and social media content.

Amy is a senior at the University of Missouri, majoring in Journalism with an emphasis in Strategic Communication. She will graduate in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Journalism and a minor in Business. Amy joins IWLC with experience in public relations, marketing and content strategy.

A native of Cedar Rapids, she enjoys returning home for the summer to spend time with her family.
