Molly Altorfer is the co-director of communications and marketing for IWLC. She has previously worked as a freelance writer and served as Assistant Vice President for Communications and Marketing at Mount Mercy University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies and political science from Gustavus Adolphus College and a Master of Arts in Communications and Journalism from Kent State University. Molly is an avid golfer and self-confessed news junkie. She and her husband have two daughters; Molly views her work with IWLC as making the world a better place for them.
Iowa Women Lead Change (IWLC) today announced that Debi Durham, Director of Iowa Economic Development Authority, will open the June 14 Invest in She competition held at The Kirkwood Hotel & Convention Center.
“Director Durham understands the power and the potential of Iowa women entrepreneurs. We are thrilled she is making a return appearance this year at IWLC’s Invest in She – Corridor event,” said IWLC Chief Operating Officer, Tiffany O’Donnell. Durham served as a keynote speaker the 2014 inaugural Invest in She event in Cedar Rapids.
Six female entrepreneurs and small business owners will give pitches to investors at the 2016 Invest in She – Corridor event, competing for a total of $40,000 in services to the businesses. The panel of experienced investors will identify the needs and opportunities of each business and decide, collectively, how to designate the funding.
