Metro Women Connect engages companies to collaborate on advancing women’s leadership and development in the Des Moines metro area.


Metro Women Connect logoMetro Women Connect is a community of organizational leaders dedicated to improving women’s leadership competencies by engaging. women in the Des Moines metro area through sharing best practices, connecting people and providing professional development opportunities.

Metro Women Connect is structured similar to a chamber membership. Companies pay a fee  to be a member and assign a senior level representative as an MWC advisory board voting member and assign another representative as the alternate. Membership entitles each company to 10 complimentary seats at MWC events.

The organization holds monthly board meetings and develops programming for quarterly events. These are a combination of member-only and public events designed around the mission of women’s leadership and development.

Iowa Women Lead Change is the facilitator of Metro Women Connect. IWLC Regional Manager, Bobbi Segura, is the primary contact ensuring meetings and events align with MWC and IWLC’s missions.

A total of 30 organizations (for and non profits) may be members of Metro Women Connect.
